Weddings at the Ritz Hotel London – I am one of the few people lucky enough to be a regular wedding photographer at the Ritz Hotel in London and it’s an honour that I can never take for granted. Every time I step into the Hotel I feel utterly starstruck and no matter how many times I enter this most splendid of buildings, I almost always notice something new. It’s amazing how the rooms change with the light and the time of the year, so as a wedding photographer I am fascinated by the different moods and atmospheres these changes throw up.
One of the most recent weddings at the Ritz Hotel in London was Jon and Cheryl’s intimate wedding gathering. She is one of many brides who have chosen to hold their weddings at the Ritz Hotel in London, not least because of its easy charm, elegance and glamour. It’s one of the most famous addresses in the world and has now become one of the most favoured places to get married.
I love photographing weddings at the Ritz because it offers such a romantic air of nostalgia, of decadence and sophistication. There are so many dramatic wedding shots I can take as well as the cosy and personal photos of the couple in these luxuriously furnished rooms. I’m not just a wedding photographer at the Ritz London, I’ve also been contracted by them to photograph many special events held there such as the private party thrown by Chanel recently and capturing the beauty of the individual rooms for a new Ritz wedding brochure.
Cheryl and Jon were an amazing couple and Cheryl just wowed in her Oscar de la Renta wedding dress which was a real head-turner. I managed to get some amazing shots of them in the Ritz Casino which the hotel were happy to let us use.
I always reserve a huge thank you for the staff at the Ritz for their enduring professionalism throughout. In spite of the grandeur of the place, the staff are experts at putting nervous couples at ease and their friendly, welcoming nature contributes to the happy, contented look and feel of the hotel.
