So when one of the best Event Photographers in the country asks me to photograph his son’s wedding a mix of emotions flood my body. Firstly fear, yep that’s right fear, I mean why me?? Then pride, absolutely, this guy knows his stuff when it comes to photography so it’s quite an honour. Thirdly fear again. Having known Jeremy Nako for a few years I was of course honoured to be asked to photograph his son Adi and his beautiful wife Deanne’s wedding at Hampton Court House.
It wasn’t until about a month before the wedding that myself, Deanne and Adi met to talk through the wedding day. Their chosen venue, Hampton Court House is a stunning 18th century mansion, set within 7 acres of gardens. I was delighted to see palm trees in the gardens, not many venues have them and certainly something we could use later in the evening for some cool night time photos. It’s no surprise that Hampton Court House is favoured by the celebrities due to it’s exclusivity and privacy.
Quite ironic really that Hampton Court House is now used for weddings as it’s original purpose was intended as a gift to the mistress of the 2nd Earl of Halifax. Anyway moving swiftly on…. and on to a lighter note Hampton Court House is famous for being one the most beautiful Wedding Venues in Surrey.
It was a pleasure to be apart of Deanne and Adi’s wedding day and I sincerely thank them for indulging in my creative craziness at times. I know I was like a kid in sweet shop.
Thanks to the excellent staff at Hampton Court House, the food was rather special. Finally thanks to my Assistant/Second Shooter John Erskine for all his help on the day.
Here’s Deanne and Adi’s wedding day:
