Having photographed over 400 weddings I feel qualified to answer the question that I’m often asked – What is the best UK wedding venue? I have a few that I love shooting at but for its class, elegance and history The Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich is my number one. The Painted Hall has been referred to as the ‘Sistine Chapel of the UK’ and as it’s easy to see why. The Hall was closed for two long years whilst it went through a conservation project and the results are breathtaking.
I am honoured to be one of the Painted Hall Recommended Photographers and if you’re getting married there, and you’re looking for a wedding photographer please do get in touch. I am against taking the couple away for hours on end to take photos so pick and choose my moments carefully to get the big dramatic shots you may have seen on the Old Royal Naval College brochures.
On Saturday, I was invited along to The Painted Hall showcase where I got to see the Hall in it’s full glory for the first time in a couple of years. I’m excited to be shooting the first wedding since it’s reopening at the end of January and have some amazing weddings in the diary for later this year.
Here’s a few photos showing off the Hall.
