Welcome to Laura and Tom’s wedding at Stapleford Park in Leicestershire.
Stapleford Park is a 17th Century House, set within some of the most picturesque countryside in the UK and is a favourite wedding venue for celebrities. In fact as you enter the Hall you see photos of some of the worlds biggest names, Michael Jackson, Will Smith, Lionel Ritchie, Mariah Carey to name but a few. Most recently it was the wedding venue for England Football star Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy. So it is quite safe to say that this venue has serious pedigree and it was very obvious why Laura and Tom chose it.
My job as a London wedding photographer often see’s me travelling around the country, and the world, photographing some absolutely amazing weddings. Laura and Tom’s was to be no different. With a hundred of their close family and friends coming from all around the world to see them get married, it was going to be an amazing day.
The weather on the day was warm, but overcast, thankfully though the rain held off and we did get some really dramatic skies during the reception. I often get asked if I “Photoshop” the skies into my photos, I don’t and never have done. I like my photos to be real.
Laura and Tom had secretly booked some Singing Waiters’ to entertain the guests after the first course and as you will see from the photos I’d say most, if not all of the guests were on their feet dancing and singing. It was awesome to watch and the vibe was electric.
The day went past so very very quickly and what felt like no time at all, Laura and Tom were doing their first dance.
Team Gomes at the wedding was made up of my good friends John Erskine who was also taking photos and my lighting guru Soven Amatya.
Here’s Laura and Tom’s wedding.
Thanks
