It was pretty cool to be in the Houses of Parliament a day after the General Election, although my visit wasn’t Politically motivated. I was there to photograph the wedding of Renee and Ian. After removing my belt and shoes to pass through the airport style security I made it in, at this point I breathed a huge sigh of relief, you just never know how long these things take.
The wedding ceremony was held in the Members’ Dining Room, which is a very impressive room, perfect for a wedding ceremony. After the ceremony we managed to do a few photos inside the Houses of Commons before heading out to do a confetti shot on Westminster Bridge.
The guests made their way back to the Hotel Cafe Royal for the wedding reception whilst Renee, Ian and I did a few more photos with iconic London as a backdrop.
Back at the the Hotel Cafe Royal the guests were enjoying some drinks ahead of the wedding breakfast which was to be in the The Pompadour Suite. The Pompadour Suite is a stunning and classically beautiful Ballroom overlooking Regents Street and Piccadilly Circus.
At the end of my time at Renee and Ian’s wedding I wanted to do one last shot, outside to capture the lights and activity of London. I chose this image as the feature image on the blog as I simply love the colours and vibrancy of the image.
I would like to thank Renee and Ian for asking to photograph their wedding day. Also thanks to Vanessa at Hotel Cafe Royal for being amazing throughout.
Finally to my team on the day who helped from start to finish. John Erskine and Dewan Demmer.
