Following on from Stacey and Sava’s wedding in Hawaii and I am really proud to share their wedding much closer to home, in Hertfordshire. When Stacey originally got in touch with me she promised a fun Greek wedding, with a giant Tipi, a band and Greek plate smashing. She was telling the truth, it was all of this and much more. Little did I know the adventure I would go on capturing this lovely couples wedding(s).
Having made friends in Hawaii it was lovely to see some of the guests again, and also to meet the family and friends who were unable to fly out.
The couple were married in the Greek Orthdox Church in Hertfordshire, which I now refer to as the church with the wrong postcode. Twice it’s caught me out 🙂 Similar to Hawaii the couple were facing a day of mixed weather, in fact the weather forecast had predicted rain all day but they were blessed with warm sunshine as they left the church. The weather had turned by the time we’d reached the Tipi. a good hour drive away however. It didn’t dampen the spirits, and rightly so. By the time I left the party was in full swing; Plates had been smashed and Zorbas dance had been played.
I huge thank you to Barry Stingmore for assisting on the day and to my second shooter Chuck.
Finally I would like to thank Stacey and Savas for asking me to be a part of their very special wedding. A truly lovely couple and a couple that I now call friends.
Here’s a few photos from their wedding.
