Cain Manor Wedding Photography – There’s always an element of pressure for the wedding photographer at every wedding. If you don’t feel pressure then you’re not pushing yourself to your creative limits. When successful photographers come knocking on my door asking me to shoot their wedding I have that same feeling of humbleness that I get with every wedding commission but there’s an extra element of pressure. And when the photographers in question are Faye and Scott from Luminauts, a visual effects photography studio in Surrey I am flattered beyond belief.
We met up for a coffee at the Ritz back in June of 2014 and had a good chat about their wedding and of course general photography stuff and I was absolutely delighted when they asked me to shoot their wedding. The wedding was still over a year away so I had time to get better and become the actual photographer they thought I was 😉
Within the time of meeting and the wedding it’s fair to say that myself, Faye and Scott had developed a good friendship over Facebook and we were in regular contact.
On arrival to Cain Manor myself and my second photographer (John Erskine) were warmly greeted by Faye and her bridal party and it was then that Faye gave me a big box of chocolates, to keep me going throughout the day. I do love my chocolate.
What an absolutely fantastic day, the weather was kind to us and the guests were all enjoying seeing Faye and Scott get married. Exactly what weddings are all about.
Thank you to Faye and Scott for entrusting me with the photography on their wedding day. To be booked to shoot weddings because of your style and creativity is the most amazing feeling. Faye in her first email said to me, and I quote “We’re both photographers ourselves and used to shoot weddings so I figure that’ll make us either the world’s most annoying clients or the world’s most understanding – hopefully the latter!”, they were most definitely the latter.
