As the approved wedding photographer for the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich and I am immensely proud to share the wedding of Jing and Ermis. Some of the UK’s best wedding photographers have shot at the Painted Hall and Admiral’s House, that is how special this venue is.
Steeped in history the Old Royal Naval College is said to be “the finest and most dramatically sited architectural and landscape ensemble in the British Isles”. The buildings, which were designed by St Paul’s Cathedral architect, Christopher Wren, were built between 1696 and 1712 actually as a hospital, no not a wedding venue ;-), It was until 1873 that the buildings were converted into the Royal Navy’s training establishment. You might start to see now why I love this place so much.
When Jing first contacted me in February of this year it wasn’t to begin with to book me as her wedding photographer. In fact, at the time Jing and Ermis were still undecided on their wedding venue and they were asking my advice on wedding venues in Greenwich. It wasn’t until May when they finally agreed on the magnificent Admiral’s House as their wedding venue.
You will find the Admirals House in the north-eastern corner of the King Charles Court. It isn’t obvious at first but once you step inside you know you have stepped into a piece of English history.
